Sales Manager Americas

The Sales Manager of Swiss-AS’ Americas office is a person with extensive industry experience in the aviation maintenance industry, and in the North American Region specifically. The primary focus of this position is to grow the footprint in the region and to ensure that AMOS is recognized in the Americas as the market-leading aircraft maintenance software solution.
Of critical importance is expanding the visibility of AMOS in the region (in particular USA) while generating and fostering relationships at all levels with key players of the industry. Ideally the candidate has already a strong network with industry key players.
Tasks
Responsibilities:
- Represent Swiss-AS in pre-sales activities in the Americas.
- Own the lead generation process as well as execute the full sales process from prospect identification to closure of business (supported by the Swiss-AS Sales– including the development of value propositions, follow-up on proposals, negotiations with leads, etc.).
- Identify, evaluate, and leverage new business opportunities, especially in the USA, while positioning the company and the product as a leader in the enterprise MRO software solution business.
- Gather market intelligence by reporting noteworthy information regarding customers, competitors and the marketplace in the region, internally, to create corresponding sales and marketing strategies.
- Grow partner network in the region (implementation partners as well as business partners to expand our partner network via AMOShub (see https://www.swiss-as.com/cn/amos-mro/amoshub).
Primary Tasks:
- Perform AMOS product presentations based on good product knowledge in close co-operation with the Swiss-AS Sales Team and AMERICAS’ Consulting Team.
- Follow-up on AMOS product presentations for all products within the Swiss-AS portfolio to bring them to closure.
- Gain a clear understanding of the value proposition of AMOS and its USPs and use such know-how to develop a sales strategy per customer while using all information gained in the specific pre-sales process.
- Maintain continuous knowledge about new products being developed and released by Swiss-AS.
- Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands our customer base and extends the company's regional reach.
- Participate in conferences and exhibitions to attract new leads and to expand network.
- Identify and build up potential new sectors of business aligned with product innovations.
- Collaborate with Swiss-AS Marketing to request and design specific marketing campaigns to meet the specific business goals of the Americas’ market based on data analysis and identification of market trends.
- Develop trusting and sustainable relationships with potential customers and other third parties including partners to increase sales opportunities and
- Network with all key players in the MRO aviation industry to provide insights into the market and expand leads generation.
- Support the Digital TechOps Ecosystem (see https://www.swiss-as.com/about/ecosystem) by generating cross-selling opportunities.
Skills
Competence Requirements
- A university degree in Aeronautical Engineering and/or Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field - at best a combination of education and business experience in the fields of Aviation Engineering and Marketing /Sales.
- Deep aircraft maintenance software industry knowledge – at best AMOS knowledge.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a customer-facing role in pre-sales with (verifiable) track record of success (or revenue growth accomplishments)
- Ability to quickly learn and represent new software products, launched by Swiss-AS.
- Competence to efficiently manage and execute sales activities in the region.
- Communication skills to effectively liaise with all levels (including C-level) within the industry to build visibility of the product and company in the region.
Strong internal communication focused on ensuring visibility of activities and opportunity status within the company and its corporate ecosystem

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are essential to successfully close pre-sales process and foster relationships with all industry key players in the region.
- Enjoy teamwork and collaboration with direct and transparent communication.
- Strong organization skills to meet deadlines and drive efficiency.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and growing environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Native English speaker with excellent command of English in writing and speaking.
- US citizen or eligible to work in the US. The person is or will be located in the US.
- Travelling will be required, with overall expectations of travel to be at least 50% of your time.
