Throughout the business life of Swiss-AS, the number of employees is continuously increasing, reporting a yearly staff growth rate of 10-15%. Despite the company’s fast growth, the Swiss-AS core team has been stable – being one of the biggest assets of the company. The low employee turnover has allowed us to continuously increase the Swiss-AS technical know-how pool as well as to constantly enhance social relations and strengthen roles within teams.

Supporting young talents

As a socially responsible company, Swiss-AS offers talented young people two different training programs which help them to become skilled professionals.

Internship: is for students who are currently in their IT/ Software Engineering bachelor or master program looking for practical experiences or/ and would like to write their end of study project in our company. 

Apprenticeship: is a unique dual program in Switzerland where young people after finishing school (15-16 years old) can apply to learn a profession e.g. developer. The apprentices are working 3 days in our company and go 2 days to school, therefore, they can gain practical and theoretical knowledge parallel which is a singular, unique system in the whole world.

This can only work because there is a strong partnership between employers, schools, and the state. The employers are willing to invest for 3-4 years in young people that they can receive a professional bachelor's diploma.

Many of the apprentices have the possibility to take additional classes to take the final high school/ exit exam to parallel with their professional bachelor exam. In this case, they can study further at the University of Applied Science (e.g. FHNW) which gives them more knowledge and better options on the job market.   

Swiss-AS offers an apprenticeship in the areas of IT and Software development.
