Our staff is our biggest asset
Swiss AviationSoftware combines more than 35 years of aviation software experience with a deep understanding of aircraft maintenance. Today, our MRO software solution AMOS supports more than 250 airlines, MRO providers and other aviation organisations worldwide.
AMOS is part of the Lufthansa Technik Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem. This ecosystem brings together digital solutions that support the entire technical operation of an aircraft. This means that AMOS is not a standalone product, but part of a broader network of integrated tools and services. Being part of this ecosystem allows us to collaborate closely with other digital teams such as flydocs and AVIATAR within Lufthansa Technik, share expertise and continuously enhance the value we deliver to our customers.
More than 390 colleagues across our international locations develop, implement and support AMOS. We continue to invest in our people, our product and the expertise that has grown within Swiss-AS over many years.
Many colleagues have built long careers with us, creating a strong foundation of knowledge and experience. At the same time, our continued growth brings new people, perspectives and ideas into the company. This combination helps us evolve while maintaining the friendly and collaborative culture that defines Swiss-AS.
“I value the multicultural and friendly atmosphere at Swiss-AS. Even as the company continues to grow, people remain approachable and supportive. There are opportunities to develop, take on new responsibilities and shape your career according to your interests. And, of course, I am proud of what we have achieved together.” Emmanuel has worked at Swiss-AS for more than ten years.
In 2025, Swiss-AS moved its headquarters to HORTUS at the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area Main Campus in Allschwil. The new office offers modern and flexible workspaces, collaboration areas, lounges and access to on-site fitness and catering facilities. HORTUS also sets a high standard for sustainable office design, creating an inspiring environment for our growing team.
We are team players!
We work as one team
Our success depends on people working together and sharing their knowledge, ideas and experience. Every colleague contributes through their individual skills, initiative and perspective. By supporting one another, we can manage complex challenges and deliver better results for our customers.
Ideas are heard
Our flat structure encourages direct communication and efficient decision-making. Colleagues are invited to influence existing approaches, suggest improvements and take an active role in shaping how we work.
Customers are at the centre
Understanding our customers and their operational needs is central to everything we do. We build long-term relationships, provide reliable support and work closely with customers to create lasting value from AMOS and the Lufthansa Technik Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem.
A people's business
Supporting young talent
Swiss-AS offers internships and apprenticeships that give young people the opportunity to gain practical experience, develop their skills and start a career in aviation software.
Internships
Our internships are aimed at students currently completing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, software engineering or a related field. Interns gain hands-on experience in a professional software environment and work alongside experienced colleagues on real projects.
Students may also have the opportunity to complete their Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis at Swiss-AS, depending on the topic and current business needs.
Apprenticeships
An apprenticeship combines practical experience at Swiss-AS with classroom-based learning. Apprentices usually spend three days per week at Swiss-AS and two days at vocational school, allowing them to apply what they learn directly in the workplace.
The apprenticeship agreement defines the salary, holiday entitlement and other employment conditions. Throughout the programme, apprentices receive guidance from experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.
Students with strong academic performance may also complete a vocational baccalaureate alongside their apprenticeship. This provides direct access to a university of applied sciences. Further studies at a university are also possible through the passerelle programme.
Swiss-AS offers apprenticeships in IT and software development, providing a practical foundation for a future career in technology.
Workplace & Culture
At Swiss-AS, your work has a direct impact on our customers and the people who rely on AMOS every day. You can deepen your technical skills, expand your aviation knowledge and explore new technologies while working with colleagues from different cultures and professional backgrounds.
We value individuality, collaboration and an open exchange of ideas. Our international team combines strong expertise with a friendly, down-to-earth culture where people support one another and enjoy working together.
Beyond our daily work, we connect through travel, team events, sport and shared interests. What brings us together is a commitment to doing high-quality work and achieving the best possible results as a team.
“The strong team spirit is clearly visible, and I enjoy the multicultural atmosphere. I also value the challenges of working at the intersection of aviation and IT.” Jeanne has worked at Swiss-AS since 2016.
