This internship offers a computer science engineering student the
opportunity to join the Quality Engineering (QE) team of a software
development company. The focus will be on leveraging the extensive data
generated through automated test case execution to develop smart
features that enhance feedback loops for developers and provide
actionable insights for test engineers. The aim is to use data-driven
approaches to optimize the testing process, reduce debugging time, and
improve overall software quality.

Tasks

• Analyze large volumes of data from test executions, including success/failure rates, logs, test duration and defect patterns.
• Identify trends and correlations to predict potential failures and highlight areas of concerns in the software.
• Develop metrics to evaluate test reliability and prioritize critical issues
• Real-Time Feedback mechanisms: build tools to provide faster and real-time feedback to developers on test results, identify potential root causes of failures.
• Failure Pattern Detection: implement algorithms to detect recurring failure patterns across multiple test executions and environments.
• Automated Bug Categorization: create a feature that classify and prioritize bugs based on data such as severity, frequency and impacted modules.
• Automation Framework: implement a program to identify UI components and extend automatically test the automation framework.
• Design and build dashboards for visualization of key insights

Skills

• Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
• Experience with data analysis / AI libraries and tools: Pandas, NumPy, Plotly, SciPy, Tensorflow.
• Familiarity with machine learning and statistical techniques for pattern detection and predictive modeling.
• Knowledge of database systems and query languages: SQL, NoSQL.
• Basic understanding of software testing principles and automation frameworks is desirable.
